I believe melee is your ideal combat design and ranged is my favourite. RS3 - I find longrange combat styles far more effective than melee, and personally I believe magic is the best. You can do anything with it, Slayer, Bossing, PvPing etc and it always works great. However, when it comes to PKing ranged is much better. Like I mentioned longrange styles have a definite advantage because most PvP action nowadays is done in multi PvP areas and as we all know ranged beats magic which makes it the very best of the two.
